in Indonesia
We traveled by plane to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia but we had some problem because it was our first time travel by plane and we almost miss the flight. After 3 hours we arrived at KL int. airport on 11.00 am. And it happened again, we had a problem at the counter check-in, we couldn’t understand what they’ve said and I had to run because we were almost late. It took 2 hours from Kuala Lumpur, the Jakarta airport is very big and we were lost. Finally we arrived at Makassar airport and 3 volunteers were waiting for us and took us to La’ Macca hotel.
We had a meeting with the director of UNM on 11.00 am. And then we have met the director and the students of English department and in the afternoon we went to Panakkukang mall for shopping
We went Athira Islamic school for first time, it is the private school and have so many students, it is the school that I’m going to teach for three weeks. I’ve met Mrs. Hilma the teacher of 9th grade and she gave me a book and we discussed about the lesson plan that I’m going to write.
Experience
Day 1
We went to Trans Studio an indoor amusement park. It was very fun and I couldn’t ride some of the play things because I was too scared and in the evening we’ve met Thai students and they’re nice.
This was my first day at Athira school, I observed many classes on that day. The students in this school are good in English and most of them can speak very well.
Today I woke up at about 08:00 am. because at 10:00 am. I had to go to UNM on to demonstrate the micro teaching with Mrs. Widya and learn about the lesson plan Indonesia. In the microteaching I teach about the preposition and played some game.

In the morning the car from LA’ Macca were waiting for us in front of the hotel and we went to observe the students at Athirah School and prepared for teaching for next week.
I’m so excited to see the student in this school speak English very well.
This day was the Reading Day so every students in junior high school have to bring their favorite book to read at school for relaxing and improving their skills. In the afternoon the students had to go the cinema to see Ketika Masgagah Pergi, it’s the Indonesian movie and in couldn’t understand the movie so some students summarized the story for me.
The last day of observation. In the evening, we invited our Indonesia friends for playing cards game. They also brought the traditional cakes for us. We had a great time with our Indonesia friends.
I woke up quite late in this day and I have the meeting with the secretary of SEAMEO so I took a bath very fast and go to second floor’s conference room. We talked about the life in Indonesia and shared some experience.
I woke up late on this day because there were nothing to do in the morning so in the afternoon we have to go to Thai students’, they prepared some food for us because one of them would go back to Thailand tomorrow, there are fried chicken, som-tam and suki. In the evening we went to market and tried Saraba the traditional drink.
We went to school on 6.45 am. As usual and my friend who teach in senior high school had a chance to participate and sing the national anthem and I’ve observed some class, before go back to hotel we went to Lotte mart to buy some vegetables for cooking food.
We went to school on 6.45 am. As usual and today I’ve joined teacher’s orientation and observed some classes, in the nearby building there are the market of elementary school, they sells many things food snack to clothes and the singing contest was held on the second floor it was very fun

Today my friends went to buy some soveniors at the market that I don’t know but I didn’t go with them because I had to clean my room and wash my clothes in the evening about 3pm. My friends came back with clothes and some souvenior in their hands.
Today I went to school on 6.45am. as usual for observation and we left the school early because we have to visit the faculty of education in UNM we’ve got a warm welcome from the teacher and the students and I had to share my experience in Makassar in front of the people and I was so nervous, in the evening there is a drama play called “Marginal man” so we went to UNM and watched it.
Today I went to Bugis Waterpark, it is big and the ticket is very expensive, it’s about Rp150,000 and the rain was falling but it was not our problem, we can play even in the rain, we played a lot of play things and it was very fun and in the afternoon before we go back my friend joined the volley ball match and we arrived at the hotel on 18.00 pm.
Today we went to Mrs. Widya house, she came to the hotel to pick us up to her home, she prepared a lot of foods and introduce her kin to us and she sing a song for us and asked us to join her so I went to sing with her and before we go back to hotel she lent me her husband’s guitar. She is very kind.
This day was Chinese New year day and we went to eat some seafood in Makassar city with teacher and students, the seafood is very different from Thailand, it’s not hot like Thailand and we went to the beach but the beach is very dirty so we went to another beach, it’s look almost the same but it better. Then in the evening we got back to hotel and practice our teaching.
Today was my first class and I taught two class in the first day, I taught about how to write let them play some games, in the second day I have no class so I was writing my blog till the school out. The students in the school is very energetic and good in English so it was easier to teach them.

Today we didn’t go to school because we had a small lecture at UNM University. It was about ASIAN COMMUNITY LECTURES. We were representative of Thailand. The lecturer is from Japan. He spoke Japanese language and the teacher of UNM University translated it to Indonesian language. But we cannot understand anything. So the students from UNM University came to sit with us and translated for me and my friends. Then we took a photo with Indonesian friends and eat breakfast together
I went to school early as usual but today I don’t have any class so I went with Ray to accompany her, she taught the students grade 8/3 classroom about sentence connecter. They are very clever because they can answer all of her questions. When they finished their assignment, she let them watch Thai movie, after that we took photos together with the students before finished class. They were surprise when she told them that this is my last class in this school. In the evening I went to buy Batik cloth. Eve bought many clothes.
This day was my holiday. On 11.00am. I went to the market to buy some souvenir with the Thai students by pete pete. It is very far from my hotel. The located near Losari beach. I got many souvenirs for my family and friends such as dolls pen scarfs
Today I got up early because I had to go to Malino highland with volunteers of UNM University by UNM bus. It is very far from Makassar city and took about 2 hours from our hotel but the way up there is beautiful, finally arrived at Malino highland. It is very beautiful and have a lot of fog. There a lot of tea farms on the top of the mountains so we took a lot of photo and we arrived at the hotel on 18.00 pm.
Today we went to school to get the information about Athirah Islamic School for writing my reports. And the teacher gave many books about Athirah Islamic School for us but It is written by Idonesian language.
At 11:30 a.m. we asked for permission from the teacher to come back to hotel for writing reports and practicing the performance tomorrow.
Today we had to show about Thai performance and I was the master of ceremony that tells the audience what are they watching, after that we took a photo with students and the teachers in the school
In the afternoon we went to UNM and the teacher gave me a certificate, I was very proud of myself, at the evening, we had a party with employees of La macca Hotel. It was very happy day for me.
Today, I got up very late and It was my last time staying in Makassar City because Tomorrow I have to go back to Thailand. In the afternoon, I and my friends went to try Indonesian food and Indonesian dessert around Makassar City. In the evening we cooked our dinner by using everything in the fridge and it turned to be the delicious food
Suddenly, Teacher Mrs. Widya came to have dinner with us. We were so happy this time. It seem like a farewell dinner.
Today we got up early and went to the Airport on 07:00 a.m. for checking in before leaving from Makassar City. Our first flight departed from Makassar at 09:00 and arrived Jakarta about 11:30 a.m. Then we arrived Jakarta Airport at 11:30am.and Our flight for going to Bangkok is 16:45 p.m. So this time we had about 6 hours for the rest. Finally we departed from Jakarta and arrived Bangkok about 20:15 p.m. My friends pick up me at the airport and I was very happy to be in Thailand.
